URGOSTART
Urgostart® pads are sterile, non-adhesive, foam, polymer pads, nanotechnology with oligosaccharide, for chronic slow-healing ulcers, medium to high degree of exudation.
Consisting of :
- central part of expandable polyurethane with a three-dimensional (3-D) molecular structure that provides:
- excellent exudate management
- absorption of the exudate in a vertical direction, thus preventing corrosion of the surrounding skin.
- high ability to retain liquids under pressure conditions
- outer polyurethane film impermeable to micro-organisms to prevent contamination, but air permeable to allow evaporation
- lipid-colloid technology contact mesh (TLC) in contact with the wound, impregnated with Nanotechnology Oligosaccharide, NOSF (Nano-Oligo-Saccharide-Factor), gradual release.
Nanotechnology Oligosaccharide (NOSF) limits the negative action of Metallo-Proteases (MMP), and promotes the action of growth factors in the synthesis of new tissue. In this way, it restores the balance of the ulcer microenvironment and restarts the healing process in stagnant ulcers.
It is indicated for all types of chronic ulcers, without infection and necrosis and especially for patients with vascular insufficiency, diabetes, arteriopathies.
